Johnny Mandel a reçu un prix pour sa chanson, Suicide is Painless, aux ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards et une aux Grammy Awards pour son score du long métrage M*A*S*H. Le festival de Cannes, en 1970, décernera le grand Prix du Festival au film de Robert Altman.
